Description of Internet-based Delivery Reports

With the Red Tag monitoring system, a publisher furnishes Red Tag's Chicago Office issue dates for each publication, together with entry points and times at which each issue should be entered. Upon publication, the publisher gives Red Tag the actual sign-off dates and times each publication actually arrives at each entry point in the delivery system. Red Tag's Chicago Office then calculates, the optimum delivery date each week for each publication using Postal Service Delivery Standards, taking into account the transportation actually available, and tracks delivery accordingly.

Red Tag's monitoring reports show a publication's timeliness for each entry point indicating on-time delivery, one-day late delivery, and more than one-day-late delivery. Additionally, reports suitable for distribution to individual postal facilities are available, as well as the ablility to download data for individual publications.
